Not buying the explanation. She was turning in at a constant rate and speed, clipped the car and THEN panicked. If she stepped on the loud pedal after that it's only because she wasn't paying attention before the crash and reacted badly.

I think it's a valid application for just about every touchscreen, especially gaming where precise controls are needed. Cars though - I'm not sure the full benefits will come across because of the need for consistency.
